American women the right to vote-a rightknown as woman suffrage. At the time the U. S. was founded, its female citizens did notshare all of the same rights as men, including the right to vote.

It was believed that women are made in a different way by God and hence don't qualify to be involved in matters (which is political decisions like voting) that is the sole property of men. And only men with property were allowed to vote before subsequent revolutions changed it ...
