Monica Lewinsky, born in San Francisco in 1973 was a Whitehouse intern in 1995. She was in her 20s and was said to have entered into a sexual relationship with Bill Clinton, the 42nd president of the United States of America. During the two-year period of their love affairs, the young woman confided in her colleague Linda Tripp that she was having a sexual relationship with the sitting president.

In 1998, the issue escalated and became a full-blown scandal that led to the impeachment of the president by the House of Representative for perjury and obstruction of justice but he was later acquitted by the senate.
