    Since it inception and especially in the 1920s, it has main objectives was to end federal policies that ghettoized and victimized African Americans as well as reduce racial discrimination in American workplace.

    The NAACP in its charter promised to champion for equal rights and eliminate racial prejudice, and to "advance the interest of colored citizens" in regard to voting rights, legal justice and educational and employment opportunities.

    They seek to do that through legal proceedings, lobbying and civil protests, they won case against White being able to vote in 1910 if your grandfather was register to vote in 1866 which was a policy attempted at not allowing the blacks to vote because blacks couldn't vote in 1866, the challenges this policy and won in the supreme Court.
