The Korean Armistice Agreement of 1953 ended hostilities in the Korean War with the goal of advancing a definitive end to the war. The Korean War has not formally ended since then, South Korea and North Korea are still technically under war.

The Armistice was signed by U. S. Army General William Harrison, the North Korean's Peoples Army, and the Chinese People's Volunteer Army.
