Information is available to people in various ways, through traditional vehicles such as radio and TV, as well as the internet, social networks and newspapers and magazines. In this way, the citizen has many ways of obtaining information. It is enough that he or she accesses these sources to read, watch or listen.

Keeping up with the news, watching TV about the subjects, and hearing the news from mouth to mouth, (Though mouth to mouth news isn't always accurate, it still works) are all ways to keep informed about news/events that are going on in the world today.
