    Suleyman the Magnificent was a ruler of the D) Ottoman Empire. He ruled from 1520 to 1566. He oversaw the Ottoman Empire during some of its most powerful years. During his reign, he took control of much of the Middle East and his fleet dominated the seas in the region, including the Mediterranean.
