On April 30, 1789, after the approval of Constitution, Washington unanimously won the presidential election and took the oath of office in New York.
Explanation:
George Washington got elected as the first President of the United States. and was popular as "Father of our Country".
During the Revolutionary War, he was the Commander of the American military forces and frame the Constitution of the United States.
Washington collectively won the presidential election and took the oath on April 30, 1789.
Despite of the construction of the White House during his first term, he never lived there. A disagreement occurred between Washington and Thomas Jefferson during the French and English War.
