    The supports of the independence movement in Quebec were very much interested and also have learnt the French ways of doing things and their Culture and could also speak French as well hence they were referred to as Francophone.

    A Francophone person is someone who can speak French fluently and also adopts French in his/her daily activities in an official capacity. while an Anglophone person is someone who speaks English and uses English in a official capacity as well. countries that use French as their official language are referred to as Francophone countries
