Its first program was to check the viability of the thermonuclear weapon. Initially the press called it Giant Brain as it was capable of calculating thousand times faster than that of other electro-mechanical machines.

It is evident from the fact that it could calculate a trajectory in 30 seconds that took a human 20 hours.
