The Asian Americans defended their rights by starting a huge sociopolitical movement called the Asian American Movement that was intended to fight against the racial, social, and political discrimination that was prevalent against Asian Americans in the United States.
Explanation:
The growing tensions between white Americans and Asians had reached their high in the latter half of the 1900s. The Americans looked at the Asians as a potential threat to the American civilization and had thus begun treating Asian Americans like aliens. This made the Asian American start a large-scale movement to defend their social and political rights.
