    The reason why the colonists and Britain grow apart culturally and politically because they did not flow with the rules in Britain. So they did a tea party. The British made new rules that they have to pay everything on what they buy.

    Answer: They grew apart because Britain wouldn't let any trade at all to happen, so the colonies felt like they were losing their rights
