What are the pros and cons of increased environmental controls on Texas' oil, gas and aerospace industries?

It has been noted that since the oil boon in Texas there have been some advantages and disadvantages.

Advantage.

1. The economy of Texas has improved tremendously since then.

2. Infrastructural development has also been on high.

3. Employment has increased.

Disadvantages.

1. There have been an increase in water pollution and land pollution due to extraction process and spillage.

2. There have a rise in road damage due to the movement of heavy tankers.

3. The number of earthquakes has also increased from 2 yearly before 2008 to about 15 yearly after that.
