Ghana ruler converted to Islam.
Explanation:
Islamic region was very well known in the Asian - African - European area. Islam was spread with trade of merchants. Muslim Mandingo merchants were trading in the east of the city states of Africa.
Islam spread through the north Africa by conquest and spread south of the Sahara by trade. Many of the people in the Africa kept their animalistic beliefs and practices so the Ghana ruler easily adopted to the Islam influenced by trade merchants.
