What is the main difference between the Aztec and the maya regarding the governing of their societies

    Answer: The Aztec Empire was a centralized state ruled by one absolute ruler. The Mayas on the other hand divided their empire into regions, known as city-states, and each were ruled by their own leader thus resulting in a decentralized empire.
