How did the colonies experience some early unity and independence from Great Britain

    Due to the high price after the napoleonic wars the colonies were taxed for everything they did. As of a result, they started to rebel. They received independence from Great Britain after they attacked Clinton, and several other strong-hills. Thus, King George had fired almost all of his general that operated in America. With that being said, fighting between both of the sides ceased which caused peace negotiations in Paris to open up. They experienced early unity since they all had one goal, and each of them were treated differently.
