Hung jury is the situation in which the jury, despite debating for an extended period of time, cannot reach a unanimous verdict that determines the final outcome of the trial. As a result, the mistrial situation occurs, in which the judgment can be repeated once more.

This situation occurs due to divergences in the opinions of the jurors, who due to their different perceptions see the outcome of the trial in a different way.
