    The Vietnam war and the Algeria War the two revolutionary wars that drove french colonists away from their land. The French presence in Algeria is from 1830 but they got conquered completely in the year 1852.

    And in Vietnam, it existed in the 17th century itself but conquered in the year 1864. But the French empire began to collapse since its various parts were captured by other foreign countries (Japan, Britain, etc) during WWII.

    But in the Indochina parts (Vietnam) there was a rebellion started against the French. They declared for their independence and Vietnamese tasted the fruit of victory in 1954. Also, in the same year, the Algerian war also started and Algeria returned to its power in 1958.
