In the year 1861 and 1866 in Russia, the King freed the substitence farmers also known as peasantry. Land was allocated to them, and all appeared well. Moreover, between 1861 and 1900, the peasants lost their lands the gave them and the population of the country (Russia) increased. Famines also affected them and the situation became worse. From 1861 to 1914, the Russian subsistence farmer (peasantry), government and the masses noticed the situation of peasantry. In a same way, but proposed another ways of how to change the situation.
