The United States was still recovering from The Great Depression, and the Unemployment Rate was around 25%. The involvement in the war soon changed that.

Explanation: Factories in the United States changed to produce goods for the war, and the unemployment rate dropped about 10%. More and more men were sent off to fight the war, while women and children stayed home to work in these factories and produce the goods needed. Women were
