    Explanation:

    The Virginia company shares were first bought by wealthy London financiers, it was this money they used to finance a colony with the hope that the colony would make profit and return back to them. The company also had the paln to identify raw materials such as gold and silver in Virginia so as to repay the investors back in England.

    The company gained favourable attention not until the high mortality rate at Jamestown which affected their profit and financial support to fall with this issue there was an argument among the financiers of the company that converting the Virginia Indians to Christianity would be a positive move for the company.

    Tobacco cultivation finally provided a profitable return.
