    Explanation:

    One of the many laws introduced by the Progressive Era was the Food and Drug Act. This refers to an inspection law which determined that before meat or animals go on sale, they have to be inspected, as evidence that it is clean. If the meat was not clean, the company could be sued for selling dirty meat.

    The Drug Act was introduced in order to prevent the sale and transportation of the poisonous medicines, by introducing a prescription form a doctor that confirms that medicine is not dangerous.
