The Indian Ocean that brought in trade from Arabia and Africa

    Explanation:

During the Gupta period, the trade routes up North were profitable but stagnant. The Gupta took great care to focus on maritime trade and developed their ships and navy to suit the demands.

This led to the business boom with Arabia, Rome and Africa which were flourishing markets for Indian goods at the time.

Through this route many scientific advancements and technologies traveled to and fro India. Thus this route was the most important.
