The Declaration of Independence was made to declare that England was done serving Britain, It was almost like a break-up letter to Britain. It wasn't official, And it definitely did not declare independence. it was what started the fight for it. The treaty of Paris was what ended the fight for freedom. It officially declared freedom for America. The declaration of independence started the war for independence in the treaty of Paris ended it.
