Adult workers were stronger and far more experienced than child workers. Why did many businesses use children?

The business owners used child workers in comparison of adult workers because child workers more capable of doing work longer hours as they has more energy and quickness of doing tough works. They did not need to pay as much as adult workers.

They have soft and easily moldable fingers are more useful in doing works such as sewing, making pots and other works in which adult workers find difficulty. Child workers are not required to give different type of allowances as directed by the government because they did not come under this policy.
