    Judiciary act of 1789 created a system of thirteen federal district courts

    Explanation:

    The year 1789 marked a landmark in the history where on September 24th the judiciary act was formed to give a clear organization chart of the federal court system in the United States. The Supreme Court had Chief justice as the head followed by five associate judges. The District court was presided over by a Federal judge.

    The circuit court was the one which was the middle tier and the two Supreme court judges and local district court judge took over. This is how the Judicial power of the United States was vested in Supreme court and its inferior courts.
