Eleanor Roosevelt's action clearly supported the "desegregation of races." She wanted to show the nation that the African Americans also deserve the same rights as the white people.

    Explanation:

Eleanor Roosevelt was the First Lady of the United States from 1933-1945. She made a huge contribution regarding the "desegregation of races." At the beginning, the DAR (Daughter's of the American Revolution) which was an organization managed by all-whites, had an unwritten policy of not allowing any black person from performing on its concert hall. Eleanor asked the DAR whether Marian Anderson (a black person) could use the hall in order to sing, but her request was turned down.

Thus, what Eleanor did was to allow Marian Anderson to sing at the White House, in front of the King and Queen of England. This action of hers clearly shows how much she values desegregation of races. It was responded by criticisms.

She also resigned from the DAR (since she was a member of it), claiming that she did it because she didn't approve of their actions. Marian Anderson then was also given the chance to perform at the Lincoln Memorial Hall in front of thousands of people. This created a change regarding people's civil rights.
