    The laborers were forced to long house of tiresome work and they were bossed over by their superiority who showed cruelty to the utmost. Men who protested were physically injured and their families were denied of shelter.

    The laborers were ill-treated by their companies. The labor movement was dangerous as the laborers fought for receiving eight hours of work.
