of Brahmanism during 6th century BC

During its best years, Brahmanism represented the correct way of life for the Vedas and their followers. The best years of Brahmanism were from 1500 BCE to 500 BCE. But in the 6th century BC, new forms of thinking welcomed new religions such as Buddhism and Jainism. Gautama Buddha was the founder of Buddhism and Mahavira Jina was the founder of Jainism. These two doctrines were the most important in India in the 6th century, although the decline of Brahmanism turned into what now we know as Hinduism.
