This discontent created the February revolution liberated the people from the Monarchy political system and planted the roots for the October revolution in which the communist party will become the sole political party in the nation for the following 70 years.

    Both revolutions took place in 1917 and with the October revolution the Russia's participation in the WWI was finished as the Bolsheviks signed a peace treaty with Germany.
