    The works progress administration deal was created by president Roosevelt in 1935. it provided jobs mainly for unskilled men and women running into over 8.5 million people. the women where drafted into working in sewing rooms and libraries while the men where used mainly in construction works, WPA was later renamed to works projects administration in 1939
