Radio was the initial electrical medium known for the transmission of news and entertainment to the people in America during roaring twenties after the world war. After the introduction of television, radio broadcasts were given subordinate status.
Radio communications were under the control of the federal government. It was easily accessed by many people in the American households. Many preferred radio to TV. It had an impact on the social and cultural life of the Americans.
