    Explanation:

    1. This added to Germany's humiliation since losing and handing over land only fueled the germans' anger and resentment. Germany had to turn over coal mines, Alsace and Lorraine to France, and have its colonies in China and Africa taken away, amongst others.

    2. Germany already had financial trouble and this added imposition eventually lead to its economic hyperinflation which made their currency, the Deutsche Mark, worthless in 1932. This also lead to extreme humiliation for the germans.
