    The given statements are true. During the civil war the South was under the control of Confederates and this area was the base of the confederates. But at the ultimate time of the civil war Union army aimed to take the control of the South from the Confederate and started to more deadly battle over the Confederates.

    As a result to gain over the control of South by Union and to remain the control of the South by the Confederate both of the party involved in bloody war which were the last days of Battle.

    As a result of these deadly battle in south many Southerners lost their homes. Moreover, much of the South was burned. Additionally, many southern cities were destroyed.

    The Civil war was one of the bloodiest war in the history America. The death rate was higher than any other conflict in the history America. 2% population were died in the war. Many resources were destroyed and economy was broken which led to the reconstruction era after the end of Civil war.
