Reconquista represents the movement of Portuguese and Spaniards to expel the Moors from the Iberian peninsula.
Explanation:
The cause for Reconquista was the entrance of the Moors into Europe. The goal of this movement was ending the rule of Muslims in the Iberian peninsula and taking back the territories the Muslims took.
Reconquista started in the 8th century and it ended in 1492 when Granada fell. After the fall of Granada, Moor's king negotiated conditions for surrendering and one of them was to tolerate Islam.
