    They officially declared war against Germany (mainly Britain and France)

    Explanation:

    These countries have tried to remain neutral, but Hitler's threatening invasions had caused them to keep a look out. When he finally made a move to invade Poland, they immediately declared war because of the fears of his political beliefs, but mostly the fear of annexation of their own countries.
