    In some way, the term " New World" is an appropriate name to describe the North and South America during the Pre-Colombian era. Because the whole continent was different than the rest of the world. It remained untouched by the other. Its flora and fauna were completely different than Europe and Asia. The people living in America were not similar to the Europeans when they first saw them. They were part of the ancient civilizations, depended on the cultivation and hunting animals for food.
