He believed that absolute monarchy would be suitable for the government, where the government would have relentless power over the people and society where no laws or constitution could stop it. He believed in this because he believed all humans were naturally evil and had no good in them, he started to believe in this after witnessing the horrors of the English Civil War. Thomas Hobbes believed that without a strict government, people would rebel and cause havoc, and he wanted everyone to obey to the government's rules.
