    When the British administers explored the south Africa they wanted to take full advantage of the place and slowly started settling in South Africa. Slowly there began invasion and Africans were called boers meaning farmers in Dutch.

    There were wars and when Afrikaners lost the war they were ill-treated. They moved out to Namibia, Zimbabwe, Netherlands, South America, Australia and South Western United States. Some were left behind but manly moved to Namibia and Zimbabwe.

    Explanation:

    After the Boer (Afrikaners who where farmers) war between the British and the Boers states of (Republic of Transvaal and orange free state), which left most Afrikaners poor and homeless most of them moved to Namibia and Zimbabwe. the main cause of the war was because of the discovery of diamond and gold in south Africa and the implementation of anti-slavery laws by the British settlers. the Afrikaners opposed British take over because of this laws as well.

    The Afrikaners are white descendants of the previous European settlers of the cape region in the 17th century.
