    Causes and effects of the passage of nineteenth amendment:

    Causes:

    The National American Woman Suffrage Association was at the forefront for the demand of Women Suffrage. The moment led by them functioned for decades and finally culminated in the women getting suffrage.

    Effects:

    The United States Congress passed the amendment bill in August 1920 to add to the Constitution the clause that prohibited discrimination in the voting rights on the basis of sex. The passage of the amendment meant the victory of the entire women community of the United States. The amendment started being looked at as the first step taken towards gender equality and paved the way for other issues faced by the women to be resolved.
