    The progressive era is the experience of rapid growth in American society between 1890 to 1920. However, it was not so progressive for the African Americans, who were facing racial segregation in different parts. The social reformers within the African American society took the national stage to project the issues faced by black people and the debate revolved around how to solve those problems. Booker T. Washington, W. E. B Du Bois, Ida B. Wells were the leading names of reformers from the progressive era.
