How did Shays's Rebellion highlight problems with the Articles of Confederation?

    Shay's rebellion started in 1786 when farmers from western Massachusetts organized protests against state government debts and tax collecting practices. It revealed the weaknesses of articles of confederation. Also, exposing that a government, congress could not create an army or finance.

    Because the federal government has no money and so they didn't capable to apply taxes on their citizens. This Rebellion underlined the need for strong central governance. It was to demonstrate economic prosperity and civilian protections for the newly formed United States.
