What does Dr. KIng mean by "symphony of brotherhood"

Martin Luther King Jr. is one of the greatest American figures of the civil rights fight. His message for fellow Americans was "transform the jangling discords of our nation into a beautiful symphony of brotherhood." These beautiful words are a call to overcome racial divisions and hatred, and work together for the goal of integration of all people into one society moved by feelings of friendship and tolerance, no matter the color of the skin.
