    Charter Oath which was also known as the Imperial oath of five articles was the statement of the principles. It was very important in the history of Japan for the development of the country and for the industrialization of the country. It was developed by the emperor Meiji in the year 1868.

    One of the ways in which it led to the development of the country was that it led to the discontinuation of the old evil laws and made new laws for the development of the country. It also made sure that the matters of the government will be decided by the public discussions.
