    In the 1950's, televisions started being in every home. Families would gather around the television and watch sitcoms, talk shows, and dramas each night. The era was dubbed "The Golden Age of Television."

    The television programs are thought to of shaped the way ideas were about family life. Also the television shows portrayed acceptable behavior this led to others living this way. In addition to television, Rock & Roll became a popular genre in the 1950's.
