    Explanation:

    The immigration laws of the United States were always restrictive. In 1921 following the world war one, it bans immigration for one year. In 1924 the quota system was applied for the foreign nationals. This has worse affected Jews who were escaping the Nazi atrocities. Even the difference between the immigrant and refugee was not clear which worsened the condition of Jews. In 1930 immigration laws were subjected to change but with little success.
