The above article "Whorf Revisited" used a variety of examples to demonstrate the less-extreme form of the Sapir-Whorf Hypothesis. Now think this through using another example. Read the very short New York Times article about the Jahai people of the Malay Peninsula posted below the questions. Explain how the Jahai people and their language surrounding smell is an example of this hypothesis using the following questions as a guide:

•A.) Are the Jahai better smellers than your average American?

•B.) WHY? What makes them better smellers, applying or using the above hypothesis?
