Because he believed that colonialism did not meet the needs of Africa and that it would be bad for the nation.

    Explanation:

Nkrumah was a great African leader and the first Ghanaian president. He was one of the main responsible for the movement that allowed Ghana to remain independent from the British empire, besides, he was a great opponent to colonialism, saying that the whole African region should fight for freedom and independence.

His opposition to colonialism stemmed from the certainty that European nations did not meet the needs of their colonies and stimulated a process of exploitation that left the colonies even more weakened. He believed that African countries should be responsible for themselves and produce for themselves, so it was necessary to get rid of colonialism.
