The Declaration increased social and political participation in America. It protected property rights, women's rights, abolished slavery, upheld due process, gave free public education, and so much more. It gave equality, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness to a wide variety of people who may have been struggling before and really glimmer light on America and made it how it is today.
