Which military action directly followed the Battle of Put-in-Bay?

    The Battle of Put-in-Bay is also called as the Battle of Lake Erie which took place sometime in September 1813, off the coast of Ohio in Lake Erie. This was during the war in 1812. Six vessels of the British Royal Navy was captured and nine United States Navy vessels were defeated. T his event made the America to control the lake for the rest of the war. This also paved the way for the Americans to recover Detroit and to break the confederation of Tecumseh during the Battle of Thames. This was considered as one of the greatest naval battles of war in 1812. When the war broke out, the British took immediate control over the Lake Erie.
