No. With slavery came brutality. Many were treated more brutally than others such as the male slaves. Lighter skin toned slaves and some women would be able to work inside the house rather than working outdoors.

No, some had better owners so they weren't worked as hard and got a little education while other slaves were worked until they passed out or in some cases died and didn't get any education.
